Pilot's Name Terry Fiala
Occasion - Route 66 Air Tour organized by EAA Chapter 179 from Albuquerque
When and Where - Feb 16-18, 2018, KAPA-KTCC-KSXU-0E0-KLVS-KAPA
Aircraft - My C182T N821WW aka "Double Whiskey"
WX Conditions - Clouds over Colorado Spring delayed our departure, then clear and breezy the rest of the trip.
What made this flight interesting or unusual - It was a well-organized group event for pilots to see the historic sights over and around Route 66. The tour continued one more day to KGNT and KINW, however we had to cut it short due to the snowstorm that was expected in Denver. A wonderful weekend of flying, meeting new friends, and learning about the history of Route 66 in New Mexico.
